A Visit to The Classic Motor Hub

duncanhsutton

It was a cold afternoon in January as I drove along the single lane road to the remote ex RAF base, my eyes blinded by the low winter sunlight. I was doing something I’d promised I’d do for years and that was visit The Classic Motor Hub in Gloucestershire. Following them on Instagram is an insight how far historic car dealerships have progressed. Each post an adrenaline shot of motoring beauty, be it vintage or classic. They put on regular events, offer storage facilities, have a charming coffee shop with shelves of automobilia where you could happily lose a couple of hours browsing. There will be cars of interest regardless of which period is your favourite, from Edwardian aero engined leviathans to ’90s supercars. Run by enthusiasts, even if you’re not buying you are made to feel welcome. I spent a couple of hours there and fortunately took my camera to record my visit.

The last ‘proper’ Maserati? One of so many beauties at The Classic Motor Hub in Bibury, Gloucestershire.
